• • Input your previous/current college coursework from each school you've attended, choose the major you are pursuing at CU, and see what requirements you have fulfilled toward your CU degree.
• • If you currently hold a professional certification, credential, joint service transcript or other life experience, determine how those credentials may help you earn a CU degree.
• • If you are attending a PA Community College, or a participating college, you can view how courses may transfer between institutions.

Transfer Credit Criteria

�鶹���� values the progress you’ve already made toward your degree. Credits earned at a two-year or four-year institution will typically transfer, provided they meet the following criteria:

• The college or university where you earned the credit is a CHEA-accredited institution.
• You earned a grade of “D-” or higher in the course.

Please note: Some majors at CU may require a minimum grade of “C” or higher to count toward specific program requirements. If you’ve earned a grade of “D-,” “D,” or “C-,” you may still receive credit, but in some cases you may need to retake the course at CU to meet program standards.

Credit for Prior Learning

Your experience matters in and out of the classroom. If you have life or military experience, certificates, or other possible credits earned, we will work with our Workforce Development Office to review any credit for prior learning. This can help you save time and money while advancing toward your degree.

No matter where you’re transferring from, �鶹���� offers generous transfer scholarships designed to make completing your degree more affordable and accessible. We also encourage students to explore additional scholarship opportunities from outside organizations to maximize their financial support.

The transfer pathway between �鶹���� and our community college partners makes it easier than ever to earn your bachelor's degree. Our partnership ensures a smooth, hassle-free transition from your community college to �鶹����, helping you stay on track toward your academic and career goals.

�鶹���� currently hosts transfer agreements guaranteeing a merit scholarship for qualified graduates, along with on-campus housing with:

• Lehigh Carbon CC
• Luzerne County CC
• Northampton CC
• Pennsylvania Highlands CC
• Reading Area CC
• SUNY Corning CC

In addition to our transfer scholarship agreements, we also maintain articulation agreements with several academic partners, guaranteeing the acceptance of your transfer credits and facilitating your admission to our bachelor's degree programs, including guaranteed entry into specific majors.

Reverse Transfer Programs

As a potential transfer student, we understand your desire to get a head start on your bachelor’s degree. Starting at a Pennsylvania community college is a smart and affordable way to earn credits and work toward your goals. Through the reverse transfer agreement, students at any PA community college can transfer to �鶹���� and potentially complete their associate degree while also beginning their bachelor’s program. Admissions Criteria

• A college GPA of 2.5+ is preferred for most majors, but we'll consider a minimum 2.0 GPA in specific cases.
  • A college GPA of a 2.8+ is required for admission into all Education majors.

Please note: If you've earned less than 12 college credits, you'll be evaluated on both your high school and college transcripts and must meet the minimum admission guidelines  for first-year students.
